14 Oct A Heart Full and Filled
How a wife found her fulfillment in Christ.
When Louie Santos was young, she lived a prayerful and virtuous life. She did everything she could to live a life as a God-fearing woman. And despite everything, she felt that none of it was ever enough.
As life went on, her heart kept wavering. Not only did she feel something was missing in her life, she knew it in her heart as well. She would dwell on other people’s perspective of her, her previous mistakes, unresolved relationships, and insecurities she felt growing up.
“I was still looking for something in life,” she said. Though she kept her faith, so did the hole in her heart remain.
It was later on in life when she noticed her husband going through One2One with Noel. She couldn’t help but listen in their conversations and see just how much her husband would grow in faith just after one session. She knew this was something she wanted. So she approached him and asked if she could experience the same thing.
Noel introduced Louie to Mila, a Victory group leader, who eventually brought Louie into her own Victory group after going through One2One with her. It was here where Louie knew who God was in her life, and how she wanted to be in a relationship with Him.
Upon talking to Mila, she found out that, “Things would be easier if God was at the center of our family.” And every time she talks to Mila, she can feel her heart grow lighter—learning of God’s love for her. It’s when she ultimately realized, “Only God was lacking in my life.”
“It’s not enough that you pray everyday. Prayer is something that should be at the center of your heart. To pour out your heart. Have a relationship with God. Talk to Him, not just a simple prayer,” she said as she continued pouring out everything she learned through One2One.
Louie also grew in faith through her Victory Group. Here she found a space where she was constantly reminded to pray, read the bible, of her self-worth, and her worth in God’s eyes.
She learned never to dwell on other people’s perspective, but only in God. Louie continuously learns not to focus on anger, insecurities, or her problems in life but to give it all to God.
“Any burden feels lighter with God,” she says with a smile.
